Happy Hour in Liverpool: 2-for-1 Cocktails on the Waterfront
Watch the sun go down over the River Mersey with a cocktail in hand. Matou's Happy Hour runs from 4pm to 7pm: buy one cocktail and get one free, or order two large glasses of house wine and the bottle is on us. You'll find us on the second floor of the Mersey Ferry Terminal at Pier Head, with a bar, lounge and one of the biggest terraces in the city.

A Cocktail Bar With a View: The Matou Terrace
Our terrace overlooks the Pier Head, the Royal Liver Building and the Mersey, and holds at least 300 guests. It's one of Liverpool's best spots for sunset drinks. Tables on the terrace are first-come, first-served, so arrive early on sunny days. Under-cover seating inside the bar and lounge is available if the weather turns.
Happy Hour Before Dinner, or Instead of It
Happy Hour finishes at 7pm, just in time to move to the restaurant. Book a table for a pan-Asian dinner: wok dishes, Thai curries, sizzling steak and sharing platters. Our Terrace Menu has the same favourites made for sharing outside.

No. The restaurant takes dining reservations only, so Happy Hour drinks are walk-in. We don't take reservations on the terrace, and tables there are first-come, first-served.

Yes, subject to space and weather. Terrace seating can't be reserved, so arrive early for a spot.
Is Happy Hour available with food?
Yes. You can have Happy Hour drinks while you eat from the à la carte or terrace menu.
