Private Dining Room – seats 70 guests.

The main restaurant – reserve a section for groups of 25 guests, with views over the Mersey.

The roof terrace – our open-air terrace overlooking the river, for receptions and summer parties of up to 300 guests.
Set Menus
Our set menus take the planning out of group dining, with every dish served to share:

Matou Set Menu A – £35.00 per person: four appetisers, quarter aromatic crispy duck and four mains.

Matou Set Menu B – £42.00 per person: four appetisers, quarter aromatic crispy duck and five mains, including Pla Pau sea bass.

Matou Platter – £16.50 per person, ideal for drinks receptions: salt and pepper ribs, spring rolls, chicken satay, samosas and sesame prawn toast.

Private Dining FAQ's
How many guests can you host?
Our private area seats 70 people, the restaurant can host groups of 25 people, and the roof terrace holds at least 300 guests for drinks.
Is there a minimum spend or deposit?
For the private dining area minimum spends do apply, rates vary based on time of year and day of the week - a £500 deposit is required to secure your booking. Group bookings in the main restaurant require a £5 per person deposit (this is a card authorisation which will only be charged if you do not show up for your booking) and there is no minimum spend on bookings in the main restaurant. These rates and conditions can vary on special occasions such as public holidays and Pier Head Event days - Please enquire for further details.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. Vegetarian dishes are marked on our menu and vegan options are available on request. Please tell us about any allergies when you book, as we can't guarantee any dish is allergen-free.
Do you add a service charge?
A discretionary 10% gratuity is added to all tables.
How far ahead should I book?
We recommend booking as far ahead as is convenient for you to secure your table, shorter notice bookings can also be accommodated but booking in advance gives you the best possible chance of securing your ideal booking time/date.
